How to Stay in Taiwan

✅ Visa Exemption or Visitor Visa

Valid for 14-90 days depending on nationality. Apply online or in-person.

✅ Employment-seeking visa

Submit a visitor visa application and include the relevant documents from the Bureau of Consular Affairs. Valid for 180 days. Apply online or in-person.

✅ work permit application

Requires a job contract. Valid for 1 – 3 years depending on the review. Apply online or in-person through the Workforce Development Agency (WDA), the Ministry of Labor.

✅ taiwan employment gold card

A 4-in-1 card that includes a resident visa, work permit, Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), and re-entry permit of 1 – 3 years. Doctorate graduates from top 500 universities are automatically eligible. Applicants can apply online without sponsorship.
